Are you where you are supposed to be?

A couple of months ago, l was relaxing in my bedroom enjoying a beautiful evening & the idea of just leaving was now overwhelming me. l finally realize the environment l was currently in was not fitting perfectly with what l wanted to achieve in my life. Without wasting much time thinking, l took all of my clothes & properties l have & gave it to my friends & family. The next morning around 4am, l grab my purple small bag & packed my laptop, two shirts, two trousers, passport, bought a ticket & left Zimbabwe.

Honestly l didn’t know where l was going but l was just following my instincts. I ended up in many African countries just experiencing & exploring the world. l got caught up in my passion of  travelling that l even forget to attend my graduation ceremony in November or December l don’t know the date or even care about it because school has not been my thing since day one.

l was truly ignited in my bones by what l was seeing in other people's nation. But the idea of going where l was going was inspired by two things: exploring the world & power of environment. You can hear the question starting to whisper now. You might be talented, skilled or have big dreams but are you where you are supposed to be?

I am a big fan of biographies because l will be learning a lot from successful individuals & organizations. Bradley Pitt was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma with a great love of acting. Since films were not made in Missouri, he decided to go to where they were made. Two weeks before earning his degree, Pitt left the university and moved to Los Angeles, where he took acting lessons and what happened next is history. The power of environment!

Elon Musk was born in Pretoria, South Africa with a passion of computer programming. Since lot of computer programmers, technology engineers & many internet companies are started in San Francisco, LA he moved to America & what happened next is history. The power of environment!

You might be a great fashion designer, great photographer, great entrepreneur, great musician, great comedian or great story teller but are you in right environment which supports your skills, talents & dreams. There is power in environment you choose to stay in since you are the creator of your destiny.

 If you want your intelligence to grow: go to a library, a bookstore or to school. Why? Thus where intelligence is made. If you want your health to grow: go to a gym, ride a bicycle or play more. Why? Thus where good healthy is made!

 If you want your spirit to grow: go to a church, find a quiet spot and meditate or pray more. Why? Thus the perfect environment!

If you want your wealth to grow: go to a place where people are getting rich (like a real estate office or stockbroker's office) or join an investment club, or start a study group and meet new friends who also want to grow richer.

If you want to expand your world: go to places you have never been before & do things you have been afraid of doing before. Omg l love living!

ln conclusion, sometimes the fastest way to live your dreams and improve your life is simply to change your environment & be in a place which supports your talents, skills & dreams.
