“Zvivindi” is the first studio mixtape by a Zimbabwean hip-hop recording artist GZ, released on 16 July 2016 by RTS Entertainment. It was made available for free digital download on 16 July 2016 at  Reverbnation & Soundcloud . The mixtape began production late in May & finished the following month June 2016. “Zvivindi” also features vocal guest appearances from King, Reezy, Carter, Softie, Alpha D& other musicians. Six tracks were produced by GZ among others. The mixtape was promoted through various strategies presented by RTS Entertainment .Upon its release, the mixtape received positive reviews from music critics for the delivery of lyrics, music composition&overall theme.

GZ was inspired in spiritual world & took action in physical world to make the mixtape come into reality. Musically, the mixtape is inspirational, aggressive, courageous, spiritual & personal. Initial promotion ofthe mixtape included some free live shows& free distribution of cd’s.

Writing,development& recording process.

GZ had plenty of sound engineers to work with on his mixtape but he decided to work with Reezy due to their previous amazing work they had collaborated on “Zvichapera”. The name of the mixtape was suggested by GZ because of his new character, shameless behaviour, aggressive lifestyle & unlimited courage he now possesses.  On the two songs “Zvichapera” & “Kwandinobva” GZ gave a hint that he was going through a tough process in his life but after he conquered the life changing challenges, he became more mentally, physically & spiritual stronger than he ever been before & thus when the name “Zvivindi”came from.  The atmosphere of the studio during the recording process can be summarized as funny, inspiring &very focused. The insiders revealed that “GZ was highly motivated &very focused, he went to studio on time &this other day he managed to record 6 songs within 6 hours.”

-The introduction was produced by GZ.  He covered many subjects in this intro including spiritual things, achievements, society & inspiration.

02.   Shanduko

-There is a special vocal guest appearance from GZ’s manager “King” & RTS singer “Softie” on the introduction. The song contains aggression, facing fears & encouragement of following your life purpose.

03.   Ndaenda

-The instrumental is produced by GZ which is mixed with piano, guitars & kicks. His lyrics contain politics, opinions, metaphysics & forgetting the past.

04.   Pazvichaitika

-The instrumental is emotional, imaginative which is also produced by GZ. The verses contain childhood stories, humanitarian, law of attraction & career prediction.

05.   Freedom

-The energy of the song can be described as electronic or house.  GZ rapped on first verse before “Carter” sings about his emotions. GZ also continued singing after a brief talk.

06.   Kwandinobva

-GZ was inspired by the environment he grew up in & the lifestyle he saw & decided to rap about it in this song.  The lyrics contain aggressive lifestyle, spiritual battles, courage, strong passion & an interesting view about where the rapper came from.

07.   Zvichapera

-A song about spiritual journey, hope & determination. Special backing vocals from Reezy.

08.   Hamundinzwisisi

-GZ raps for more than 5 minutes before his record label mate “King” free style the last verse. The lyrics contain spiritual love relationship, society, being misunderstood & opinions about life.

09.   Hupenyu Hwachinja

-GZ showed his singing unique style on the chorus before he killed the verses.

10.   Zvafamba sei

-The song is produced by GZ &the chorus features aggressive vocal from King. Generally the song covers many subjects including crime, death, violence& politics

11.   Ndine Hasha

-This hard-corehip-hop beat is mixed with angry voices from King & GZ. GZ was throwing unbelievable punches while King aka SimbarasheMunyuki was on chorus.
