The art of changing people

l used to learn with a beautiful girl named Melisa at primary school. She came from a rich family, her dad owns many companies & controlled almost the whole city. At high school we went separate ways, l decided to move to Kwekwe & she went to Harare. When we finished A level, she was impregnated by a boy who came from poverty. By the time her family realizes what had happened it was too late for abortion, so they decided to organize a marriage for their daughter & a poor boy. They got married & Melisa’s family supplied everything from house, car & they employed Melisa's boyfriend at their family company.
3 years later after their first born was born, Melisa realized that her husband was cheating her all the time. She forgives him but it keeps on happening again & again. She was nice to him & keeps on forgiving him because she was scared of being lonely if her husband leaves her alone. The funny thing was that Melisa's family was taking care of his husband & a child but he was misbehaving to the greater extend. However, the family decided it was useless for their daughter to be married to this fool so they ended up divorcing their daughter.
Moral Of The Story
-Learn to let go of manipulating people in your life
Have you ever been nice to someone in order to keep him in your life, only to see him suddenly turn against you? Being nice to someone, pleasing him, has no influence whatever in changing his nature from bad to good. It is useless and unnecessary to try to change others, the person will change himself if he wants to, not according to the external forces & people's influence. You will never again waste your time or be betrayed if you remember that you don’t have the power to change other people's behavior.
