We wake up & go to work we dislike,
Because of love.
Holding on to relationship that no longer work,
Because of love.
Overfeeding our stomach with junk food,
Because of love....

We live in foreign land as slaves,
Because of love.
Exchanging sex for money,
Because of love,
Hiding pain with fake smiles,
Because of love...

He gets arrested for public indecent,
Because of love.
Overdosing drugs in bloodstreams,
Because of love.
Having unprotected sex for fear of losing,
Because of love...

We go under the ocean seeking powers,
Because of love,
Sacrificing those we choose,
Because of love.
Robbing, stealing, violence,
Because of love...

We do this & do that,
Because of love,
Hiding behind our illusion,
Because of love,
And at the end of life we still die,
Because of love...
